The Cities of Akanbar

Akanbar has three major cities. Elysium, Ysallyra and Golgonath.

Each realm has its own city, though both the structure and forms of goverment vary significantly between each.

Elysium

Known as the city of the sun, Elysium is the defender of the Western Lands and fierce allies with the dwarves of Monadh-Dach. Founded by Aten , God of Sun, Elysium's stands for all that is good and pure. As part of the Sun realm, Elysium is in direct conflict, with the forces of the Demonic realm.

The politics in Elysium are dominated by what are known as the three towers of government. In central Elysium are three grand governmental towers, each home to a different section of the government. The Tower of Guild Masters, The Tower of Senators and the Tower of the Senate Proconsul and Archdeacon.

 

Golgonath

Founded by Bralnok, Lord of the Underworld, its name is synonymous with death and destruction. It is a city built by war, its foundations forged by the God's themselves. With a bloody history and an aim to release demonic hoardes onto Akanbar, Golgonath is the mortal enemy of those from the west.

Golgonath is a dictatorship that filters down from the Patron of the city. The Patron appoints one mortal to become the Master of all Golgonath and Lord of the Demonic Realm.

 

Ysallyra

Ysallyra, home of the nomadic people of the forest and part of the mysterious shadow realm. Activities of the often elusive denizens are circulated by rumour, although few, if any, are accurate. Forged into a nation at the end of the dragon wars by Archion, the Shadow - Ysallyra has grown to be a force to be reckoned with.

The government of Ysallyra is formed by the election of Chieftans from among the populace of the Forest. Traditionally, each Chieftan will represent a different faction or tribe from within the Forest.
